Day 3 - Crescent Head

Throughout the night we had a bit of rain and wind, resulting in a spreader bar falling on top of a sleeping Braiden, but woke up to another beautiful day.  After cooking up some breakfast we went for a drive to the beach on the other side of the headland, down a small dirt track near Goolawah National Park.  The water was beautiful, crystal clear and hardly another person on the beach. We returned to camp around lunchtime and cooked up a feed before relaxing in the shade, disturbed only by a Chinook helicopter doing a low flyover along the coastline, the back was open and it was close enough to see several soldiers sitting in the back.  We have a few kms ahead of us tomorrow so we tidied up camp for an early getaway in the morning.  Before dinner we went for a walk to Pebbly Beach at Crescent Heads headland, after which we enjoyed dinner at the surf club.
